Color

Can baby cockroaches be white? Yes. In fact, the color of baby cockroaches is white. This color only last for a while, though. The color of baby cockroaches will darken a few hours after they were born. So if you see a white baby cockroach, it may be a newborn one.

Is there any baby cockroach white stripe? The answer is yes. At first, the white of baby cockroach encompass all of its body and only excluding their eyes. This is only temporary. The color will tan in about 6 hours, leaving white stripe on their back.

There are other instances of their color becoming white. Before they reach adulthood, the baby cockroach will molt. Meaning, they shed off their current exoskeleton to develop a new one. During this time, their color will be white again, just as when they were newborn. This process will repeat several times and stopped when they already reach adulthood.

Size and Shape

The size of baby cockroach is tiny, not more than 4 mm. Due to its size, many people mistook it for beetle, ant or other insects. As for the shape, baby cockroach shape is only slightly different from their adult shape. For example, the baby cockroach has no wings. Their exoskeleton is also still soft. If compared side by side, a baby cockroach is a smaller version of an adult cockroach only with fewer features.
